Status: product built, outreach stalled

| Sell (buyer language) | Deliver (what we actually build) |
|---|---|
| "You don't lose after-hours calls to voicemail" | AI voice agent on their existing number via conditional call forwarding |
| "The family puts the phone down and waits for your callback" | Intake script + SMS notification to bondsman within 60 seconds of hangup |
| "24/7 coverage without answering 2 a.m. calls yourself" | Voice agent handles intake, promises 15-min callback, never quotes premium or gives legal advice |
Gap: We never tested whether bondsmen care about this enough to pay $497/mo. The product is solid. The outreach method (walk-in) was the bottleneck, not the product.
---
Bail bonds agencies. Colorado-specific.
Why this vertical: high urgency (2 a.m. calls), high ticket ($15% of bond), after-hours gap is real and visible (we proved it with the 5 a.m. test calls), low competition for tech-forward solutions (bondsmen are behind the curve).
---
What we learned: the biggest agency in Brighton (559 reviews) was the worst at after-hours (voicemail recording). That's the ICP — established enough to have volume, not so big that they've already solved this.
---
What we did: physical walk-ins — drove to each agency, handed out flyers with QR code pointing to the landing page.
What we should have done:
Why walk-in was wrong: bondsmen don't trust strangers at their door. The conversion rate from walk-in to signed contract was low (we never got a signed client from walk-ins alone). The QR/flyer was a good asset, but the delivery mechanism was wrong.
---
What worked: the witnessed 5 a.m. evidence ("I called your competitors at 5 a.m. and heard what your callers hear"). This is specific, verifiable, and hits a pain point they already know they have.
What didn't work: "AI answering service" — sounds like expensive tech they don't understand.
Locked hook: "I called the biggest agency in Brighton at 5 a.m. and got a recording saying they were closed. Your callers don't leave voicemail — they hang up and dial the next listing in Google."

| Touch | Channel | Content | Timing |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Cold email / SMS / FB DM | "I called your agency at 5 a.m. — here's what I heard" + link to the bail-specific landing page | Day 1 |
| 2 | Follow-up email | "Took a look at your Google reviews — same pattern" + add social proof from demo line | Day 3 |
| 3 | Voicemail + email | "Skipping the pitch — just want you to hear what your callers hear. Call the demo line: 877-LAN-EXIT" | Day 7 |
| 4 | Case study drop | "Brighton agency just signed — here's what changed" (when first client closes) | Day 14+ |
What we should NOT do: walk-in as a first touch. Use it only as a follow-up for warm leads who've already engaged with the landing page or demo line.
Channel priority for bail bonds:
---
The funnel:
The discovery call: keep it short. "I showed you what your callers hear. The demo line is live. First agency in Brighton to sign gets the only Premium Line in Brighton. $497/mo, charter rate, locked for life. First month free. Setup free. If the line doesn't handle 30 real intakes in 30 days, month two is free. Questions?"
---
What happens after they say yes:
Build time: 3–5 hours per client (it's a template, not custom)
Ongoing: 30 min/week per client for optimization + support

What's built:
What's missing:
Where it stalled: outreach method. Walk-in was the wrong channel for this vertical. The product is ready. The sales process is not.
