# Architect-track Contract Override Reference

Use this reference when Rob explicitly overrides the Specialist-pass preflight block for a role whose title/scope is architect-level, especially when the recruiter offers a W2 hourly contract rate.

## Required treatment

- State the override plainly: this is a deliberate rate/scope test or exception, not a silent change to the active job-search strategy.
- Require an **explicit override for each distinct architect-track role**. “Run the resume pipeline” means run the preflight too; it does not itself authorize proceeding past a BLOCK. Do not inherit an override from a prior role merely because the title or JD resembles it.
- Separate three questions:
  1. **Capability fit:** can the verified resume support the work?
  2. **Scope fit:** does the JD actually describe architecture, or is the title inflated over implementation work?
  3. **Economic fit:** does the rate compensate for the scope and contract structure?
- Do not collapse these into one score. A candidate can be a strong technical match and still have weak compensation alignment.

## W2 annualization

Use 2,080 hours for a transparent gross annualized comparison:

| Rate | Gross annualized |
|---:|---:|
| $48/hr | $99,840 |
| $70/hr | $145,600 |
| $90/hr | $187,200 |

W2 benefits, PTO, paid holidays, and employer payroll-tax treatment add value, but the output must not imply that W2 status automatically closes a large architect-rate gap.

## Submission posture

Label the result `PASS-WITH-FLAGS` and call the application a **rate-validation / scope-validation submission**. Before the recruiter screen, ask:

- Is $48/hr the client-approved ceiling or merely the agency's initial band?
- Are medical, retirement, PTO, paid holidays, and other benefits included?
- Is overtime available or prohibited?
- Is there a conversion path after the 12-month term?
- Does the client truly need an architect, or an implementation/operations contractor under an architect title?
- What responsibilities and systems were omitted from the pasted JD?

## Partial-JD handling

If the pasted JD is truncated, tailor only to the supplied text. Never add CDP, webinar, security architecture, CRM-development, or other requirements unless verified in the master resume or present in the actual JD. Report the missing tail as an uncertainty and rerun the gap analysis if the recruiter supplies the complete version.

## Resume construction

For an architect-scope exception, lead with verified architecture-adjacent evidence:

- Trimble: Marketo/Salesforce integration, lead scoring, nurture, audience segmentation, Adobe Analytics taxonomy and data-layer design, full-funnel dashboards.
- PMI: Adobe Analytics, Tableau, Snowflake governance, cross-channel measurement, implementation of BrightEdge/Knak.
- Lumen: Marketo Analytics/Salesforce reporting, tracking events, conversion goals, segmentation, Tableau attribution.
- The Hartford: requirements sessions, BRDs, Adobe Analytics tagging and data collection across 24 properties.

Do not claim direct CDP architecture, HubSpot, webinar tooling, security architecture, or CRM-development ownership unless separately verified.
